If speculative CVs are sent, no fee will be applicable - please direct all queries to the relevant Resourcing Partner.Management Accountant - Asset IntelligenceWarringtonWhat you will be doing:An opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join the team at Galliford Try within our Asset Intelligence Business.Ideally, you will based in or around the Warrington area.The main purpose of the role is to provide a high level of financial support to the business unit including preparation of management accounts, budgets, and cash forecasts. The Management Accountant will lead all day-to-day reporting with guidance from the Divisional Financial Controller. The Management Accountant will also interact regularly with members of the Group Finance Team including the Group Financial Controller to answer queries and provide information.Preparing management accounts, P&L and balance sheet reconciliations, including analysing variances to budgetPrepare and submit monthly Flash results to the Exec Board.Prepare weekly cash forecastReview and manage HFM and Oracle interfaceManage purchase invoicing and payment runs through relationship with SSCRaise and manage all sales invoices including cross checking to contracts where applicableManage all debt and cash collection from clientsReview VAT returns prepared by SSCProcess, arrange and manage all intercompany recharges and transactionsPrepare monthly salary analysis and payroll journalsPrepare half year and year end HFM packsProvide detailed support on audit queries, taking responsibility for routine itemsProvide detailed support on budget preparation including preparing HFM packs and managing timetablesDeveloping, reviewing and improving upon current processesAbout You:The candidate should have the ability to work independently and autonomously but also know when to raise issues and seek support.The candidate should be able to take responsibility for their own work and be proactive at all times.Attention to detail is critical, along with a strong ethical desire to do the right thing.The candidate should be able to deal with confidential information sensitively and appropriately.Good communication and interpersonal skills are required as this role will require interaction with various stakeholders.You will also be able to demonstrate the following key attributes.The candidate should ideally be a part qualified accountant or a newly qualified accountant, or an accountant who is suitably qualified by experience.The candidate should have prior experience of preparing management accounts within a finance function or department and have the ability to analyse financial results against budget.Proficiency in Excel is essential along with experience in using accounting software packages.
