Job DescriptionLDD, part of Acteon Group, is a marine and subsea foundation specialist. Using our extensive in-field experience, we design, engineer, build and operate world class pile-installation, lifting equipment and drilling equipment to deliver tubular foundations of any size, in any geology, anywhere.LDD are currently looking for a Management Accountant to join the team on a 24 month fixed term basis. This is an exciting opportunity in the renewables sector to support delivery of a major offshore windfarm project.Based in Bridge of Don, the successful candidate will work closely with the multi-location LDD project team and take responsibility for financial accounting for the Courseulles project.Duties/ResponsibilitiesSupport the Project Deputy FC & Project FC in maintaining rolling financial forecast for the projectPreparation and review of financial reporting to meet group and project requirementsEnsure effective financial controls are adhered to within the projectMonth End Close: Responsible for accurate and timely month end close for the assigned duties. This includes reporting in line with month end close timelines and management information. Leading role in the month end close process ensuring accurate ledgers and liaising with various teamsBalance Sheet Review: Perform regular detailed financial analysis on balance sheet, drive the monthly review timetable, analyse inputs from the business, provide challenge where appropriate and act on any items requiring remedial actionAccounts Payable - ensuring all approvals are completed on a timely basis and in line with project cash requirementsLiasing with Procurement/ Contracts to ensure payment terms and milestones are understood and properly reflected in cashflowAccounts Receivable - manage the invoicing process to ensure contract requirements are met, and review of customer invoices prior to issuanceRequirementsQualified to degree level or equivalentQualified or part qualified ACCA/CIMA/CAAbility to work under your own initiative and part as a team is essentialGood oral and written communication skillsBe able to communicate effectively with peers and project stakeholders at all levelsStrong working knowledge of ExcelStrong problem-solving skills and be proactive in developing and streamlining processes.Exceptional attention to detail with well-developed analytical skillsSound experience and knowledge of accounting software - ideally Navision (MS Dynamics NAV)Minimum 3 years in a similar role, preferably from same/similar industry and within a project-driven environment.A strong all-round accounting backgroundA high level of attention to detail and accuracy with excellent organisational and time management skills
