Management Accountant

Hays Senior Finance are working with a £25m t/o subsidiary of a global business who are looking for a Management Accountant due to business expansion. This profitable company has been established in the Warrington area for over 15 years and has a broad range of corporate customers across nearly all sectors.
The Management Accountant plays a crucial role within the Finance Department, overseeing various financial tasks essential to the company's operations and financial health. This role involves preparation and reporting of monthly management accounts, forecasts and periodic KPIs to stringent group deadlines and maintaining schedules and reconciliations to support good governance and both Internal and External Audits.
You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with financial regulations including submitting legal and regulatory returns on time (e.g. VAT). Collaboration with internal and external contacts is essential to achieve financial objectives and support the company's growth. The Management Accountant will help to maintain a rigorous control environment through reviewing and improving current reporting processes and procedures. They are also proactive in identifying where day to day work practices or templates can be improved or streamlined to allow more time for value-add work.
