Management Accountant York North Yorkshire £45,000 - £55,000 per annumHybrid working option 3 days in office - 2 days from homeCommutable from York, Leeds, Garforth, Castleford, Malton, Harrogate, WetherbyHawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for a ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified Management Accountant to join a well-established company based in York, North YorkshireThe RoleThe Management Accountant is a key role in the Finance Department, responsible for managing the Management Accounting Team and ensuring accurate and timely management accounts reporting.DutiesResponsible for managing the Management Accounting Team; acting as a strong role model, ensuring responsibility is allocated for all tasks with clear deadlines and KPIs (and that these deadlines and KPIs are reliably achieved), and managing the performance of team membersPreparation of monthly management accounts and KPIs/Board Pack slides, including balance sheet, balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow statement and intercompany balances reconciliationReview of subsidiary monthly management accountsEnsure all bank accounts are reconciled dailyManage company credit card programmeAssist FP&A Team with the budgeting and in-year forecasting processAssist Group Financial Accountant with preparation of the year-end audit file and tax pack in line with the timetable agreed with the Auditors, Tax Advisers and Group FC. Assist with audit questions/queries as required.Provide additional financial information to the business as needed and complete ad-hoc financial and business projects as agreed with the Group FC or Group CFOHealth & Safety:- To report all noted abnormalities at any company workplace that could possibly lead to either material or personal damage and to take immediate measures to minimise the risk- To ensure that safe working practices are followed within all areas of your responsibility, to safeguard the health and well-being, safety and protection of yourself, your colleagues and othersAny other task, consistent with the position of Management Accountant, as required by the Group FC or Group CFOSkills and ExperienceQualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)Experience of working as a management accountant in a multi-company/multi-ledger groupStrong people management experience including coaching, development and performance managementIntermediate level Excel experience essential (e.g. SUMIF, SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, SUBTOTAL, Pivot tables)Experience of Sage Intacct desirable (but not essential)Experience of Prophix Reporting & Forecasting Software desirable (but not essential)Ability to work to deadlinesTeam PlayerAttention to detailGood communication skillsBenefitsAnnual leave is 26days + Bank HolidaysEmployee Assistance ProgramPrivate Company PensionRewards on discounted services and offers.Technology package supplied to support you whilst working at home.Holiday Purchase PolicyHybrid Working will be discussed however you will need to be able to attend our York Office regularly each week.Free Onsite ParkingSubsidised Canteen on siteIf you would like to apply for the role of Management Accountant, then please email your CV to
