Summary
Venture Recruitment Partners are working with a very well-known global business in Basingstoke.  The client is looking to recruit an Accountant to join a large, established team.   As an Management Accountant you will be focusing on international entities with the goal of building and maintaining strong relationships with key business stakeholders internally and externally, maintaining all financial controls and systems within your role recommending potential operational efficiencies and improvements to working practices and procedures.

Ensuring all key tasks are completed to scheduled timelines and in line with accounting policies and take ownership of balance sheet accounts and reviews with Finance managers.  You will work across all departments and key stakeholders to support the financial reporting process.

The Role


  • Accurate and timely month end reporting in line with the timetable across international legal entities.
  • Processing and coordinating Capital Accounting period end close activities.
  • Preparation of month-end analysis and commentary for management reporting.
  • Completion of balance sheet reconciliations, including IFRS16, to support reviews with Finance hub managers and business partners.
  • Processing and co coordinating Fixed Asset adjustments with reference to, Fair value, Revaluations/impairments, Disposals & Depreciation/Amortisation
  • Liaise with internal and external audit teams.
  • Maintain financial controls in accordance with group policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Take ownership of balance sheet accounts.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience working with a large international business would be ideal.
  • Part qualified ACCA or CIMA with experience within a finance role.
  • Experience of month end close process.
  • Experience of process improvements and standardising finance processes.
  • Project Accounting & Fixed Asset reporting experience would be highly desirable.
  • Evidence of building and maintaining strong relationships with key business stakeholders.
  • Proactive individual with experience working in a flexible and changing environment.
