DK Recruitment is excited to partner with our Devon-based client in their search for a dedicated Management Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of a dynamic organisation and contribute to its success.



Core Responsibilities:




  • Aid in the timely preparation of monthly management accounts, financial summaries, and reports, ensuring accuracy and thorough data analysis.

  • Manage and update costings information for�products, maintaining accuracy and relevancy.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining cashflow forecasts, ensuring continuous updates to reflect changing financial circumstances.

  • Oversee the operational aspects of purchase and sales ledger functions, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.



Compliance and Reporting:




  • Ensure adherence to statutory legislation and regulations, including VAT requirements, in all financial practices.

  • Collaborate in the preparation of year-end statutory financial statements and support the audit process as needed.

  • Handle importing and exporting transactions, including the implications of VAT, and manage relevant submissions and declarations.

  • Complete and submit statutory returns accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Prepare necessary information for corporation tax and personal tax returns, including data related to research and development.



Qualifications and Skills:




  • Preferably ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified; however, experienced AAT/QBE candidates will be considered.

  • Demonstrated experience in a finance department, with a particular interest in transitioning from Practice to Industry.

  • Exposure to a manufacturing environment is advantageous but not mandatory.

  • Strong numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Proven ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the flexibility to handle varied tasks and requests.

  • Proficiency in Excel and confidence in navigating diverse IT systems; familiarity with Microsoft packages is expected.

  • Experience with Xero software is preferred but not essential.
