Hybrid working option 3 days in office – 2 days from home

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for a ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified Management Accountant to join a well-established company based in York, North Yorkshire

The Role

The Management Accountant is a key role in the Finance Department, responsible for managing the Management Accounting Team and ensuring accurate and timely management accounts reporting.

Duties

• Responsible for managing the Management Accounting Team; acting as a strong role model, ensuring responsibility is allocated for all tasks with clear deadlines and KPIs (and that these deadlines and KPIs are reliably achieved), and managing the performance of team members
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and KPIs/Board Pack slides, including balance sheet, balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow statement and intercompany balances reconciliation
• Review of subsidiary monthly management accounts
• Ensure all bank accounts are reconciled daily
• Manage company credit card programme
• Assist FP&A Team with the budgeting and in-year forecasting process
• Assist Group Financial Accountant with preparation of the year-end audit file and tax pack in line with the timetable agreed with the Auditors, Tax Advisers and Group FC.  Assist with audit questions/queries as required.
• Provide additional financial information to the business as needed and complete ad-hoc financial and business projects as agreed with the Group FC or Group CFO

-      To ensure that safe working practices are followed within all areas of your responsibility, to safeguard the health and well-being, safety and protection of yourself, your colleagues and others

Any other task, consistent with the position of Management Accountant, as required by the Group FC or Group CFO

Skills and Experience

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
• Experience of working as a management accountant in a multi-company/multi-ledger group
• Strong people management experience including coaching, development and performance management
• Intermediate level Excel experience essential (e.g. SUMIF, SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, SUBTOTAL, Pivot tables)
• Experience of Sage Intacct desirable (but not essential)
• Experience of Prophix Reporting & Forecasting Software desirable (but not essential)
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Team Player
• Attention to detail
• Good communication skills
