Management Accountant, NewtownabbeyPermanent | Thriving Group | Growth Plans | 1 Day HybridReed Finance is partnered with a leading hospitality group in county Antrim, in the appointment of a permanent Management Accountant.The Management Accountant role is part of the wider Finance team, whose key focus is to promote the success of the company by ensuring decisions made by the senior management are based on correct financial assumptions, and to ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements.Key responsibilities include: Preparation of Management accounts using computerised accounting package (SAGE Intacct - P&L, Balance Sheet, Variance Analysis)Prepare/review bank reconciliations, cashflow forecasts and weekly bank and cash reportsReconcile Balance Sheet Accounts with full Balance Sheet SchedulesReview of key journals including Accruals, Prepayments etc.Review of monthly overheadsCoordination of monthly payroll process and overview of weekly payrollManagement of payroll-related activities including Pensions, PIIDs, Life Assurance and all relevant returns.Responsible for managing Fixed Assets Register in SAGE and all CAPEX expenditureReconcile VAT returns to ledger and investigate any differencesAssist in the preparation of the year end audit fileAssistance with the preparation of year end statutory accountsLiaise with external auditors during the audit or as and when requiredAssist in preparation of annual and monthly budgets and forecastsAssist in analysis of group results and any ad hoc analysis as appropriateProvide support to the payroll function as and when requiredHelp mentor other team members with continued talent developmentAny ad hoc duties as requested by Senior ManagementEssential criteria:Fully Qualified Accountant – (CIMA, ACCA, CAI or equivalent) – Also open to considering those who are qualified by experienceDemonstrable understanding of accounting principles and standardsStrong IT skills and experience working with financial software packages as well as Microsoft office particularly Microsoft Excel (advanced advantageous) and WordExperience of using SAGE Intacct accountsHospitality experience is advantageousExperience of setting up and maintaining FA modules: desirableExperience of working with multi-site/group functions: desirableExperience of report writing in SAGE: desirableFor more information, apply via this advert or contact Reed Finance Belfast as soon as possible and on complete confidence.
