Management Accountant - Hybrid Working

Are you an experience qualified or part qualified management accountant who is looking for a new challenge, then look no further.An opportunity has arisen within our social housing organisation client for a management accountant to join their family feel finance team.This role you will be expected to be in the office at least one day a week, with the rest of the time working from home.We are looking for a management accountant who is able to provide the best financial information and support for the organisation.Responsibilities will include: Production of monthly management and assisting with annual statutory accountsPreparation of budgets and forecastsPreparation of financial reports and liaison with budget holders and other stakeholders external to finance to discuss and reviewMaintaining a good level of technical accounting knowledge to ensure that accounts are prepared correctly and in line with the relevant accounting standards.Ensure all reporting deadlines are met without exceptionManage workload, delivery and development of assistant management accountantsBalance sheet reconciliations in accordance with best practiceJournal processing, including ensuring the correct accounting of accruals and prepaymentsReview of assistant management accounts work to ensure accuracyInterrogation of financial systems to identify errors and make correctionsVariance analysisAd-hoc reporting and analysisIdentify opportunities for improvements and challenge the status quoExternal returns and reportingRequirement to assist with projects and undertake additional responsibilities on an adhoc basis Travel from various sites will be required in this role, so being a car driver and having access to a car is vital.This role is a great choice for those looking not just for a job, but for a career with the opportunity to grow, be involved and interact across the whole business.This is certainly an opportunity not to be missed and to find out more about this simply apply or reach out to Matt Byrne-Fraser for a confidential conversation surrounding the position.How to apply
