Sterling Lexicon is a leading provider of global mobility services. We manage all facets of our clients' mobility programs, while focusing on providing flexible solutions for corporate and U.S. government organizations worldwide.ResponsibilitiesFinancial responsibility:MONTHEND PROCESSING:Preparation of all monthend journals, including (but not limited to) depreciation, accruals and prepayments.Timely and accurate completion of the monthly financial close.BALANCE SHEET RECONCILITION: Ensure the Balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis and investigate and resolve any anomalies that arise.MONTHEND REPORTING: Production of commentary and variance analysis against budget on the 9 Sterling entitiesEXTERNAL REPORTING: Complete any statutory reporting that is required (Office of National Statistics etc)INTERCOMPANY LOAN: Reconcile the intercompany loan accounts between the various Sterling Lexicon entities and post any foreign exchange adjustment required on a monthly basis.BUDGET: Assist in the production of the annual budgetSUSPENSE ACCOUNT: Ensure that all entries posted to suspense are cleared down at monthendAUDIT: Provide supporting documentation and analysis required to back up auditor requests and sample testingTAX: Provide supporting analysis and documentation for tax advisors for annual returns and other complianceSTATUTORY ACCOUNTING PRODUCTION: Assist in the production of the statutory accountsAssist in any work required by the other members of the accounting team.Staff & Colleagues:Work with the CPT based transactional entry team as well as the management accountants (Transactional team) based in UxbridgeGeneral:Keep key stakeholders up to date on progress against key milestonesCore Skills and knowledgeAccountant with prior experience of working in an accounting teamStrong Leadership and interpersonal skillsExperience of working with Shared services centre would be advantageous.The ability to drive change and a desire to continually improveStrong team player and ability to communicate and build relationships with people at all levels of the organisation.High level of computer literacy
