An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Babraham Institute's senior Finance Team in the position of full-time Management Accountant.The post covers a broad and varied remit of responsibilities covering both financial accounting and cost accounting and will allow an experienced accountant to join a small team and continue to add value to the services we provide to the Institute and its subsidiary company, Babraham Institute Enterprise Ltd (BIE).We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a significant experience of preparation of financial statements, budgeting and cost accounting, together with advanced MS Excel skills.You will be responsible for supervising the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions within the finance department, including line management responsibilities, therefore experience of managing or supervising a team, would be useful.The role also covers the financial administration of BIE and presenting financial information at BIE Board meetings - therefore previous experience of explaining financial information to non-financial colleagues would be beneficial.The post holder will have experience of meeting both internal and external deadlines and will be responsible for organising their own time with minimal supervision.A full job specification and role requirements can be found attached to this vacancy.Informal enquiries can be addressed toAndy Hunt, Finance Director (#####)Closing date for applications is Sunday 5th May 2024.
