Maintenance Technician

The Company Nigel Wright is pleased to be supporting a high-volume manufacturing business in Sunderland looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician, as they continue expanding their team to facilitate future growth.The maintenance team work a continental shift pattern. Salary is £52,000 including shift allowance. Excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance technician having previously worked within the automotive industry, looking to join a supportive and positive team, whilst utilising their multi skilled maintenance skills.
The Role The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for –
Ensure all planned maintenance activities are completed within a timely manner
Respond to breakdowns across site efficiently and effectively
Support in generating practical engineering solutions
Data and root cause analysis of machinery and equipment
PLC fault finding
Working with robotics and high-volume manufacturing machines
The Person The successful Maintenance Technician will have the following –
HNC in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
Time served maintenance apprenticeship in manufacturing environment
Experience working with PLCs
Competent working autonomously and within a team
Continuous improvement mindset, looking to highlight inefficiencies across site
Personable and approachable
