Join us as our new Maintenance Technician at The Lodge learning disability service in Swallownest.
If youre looking for a rewarding maintenance role with a difference, we have the job for you.
We are looking to recruit two maintenance operatives to support across two of our homes, namely Lonnen Grove & The Lodge.
It is anticipated that each colleague will work 24hrs per week, over a rolling rota, which will include weekend working(4 days per week, 6 hours per day). Therefore, your ability to be flexible to the needs of the two homes on any given day and work collaboratively with your colleague will be essential.

We support six adults with severe or profound and multiple learning disabilities.

About the role OurMaintenance Technician plays a key role in ensuring that the fabrics, fittings, fixtures and equipment in the home are in good condition.
No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
general maintenance
decorating
gardening
plumbing
tiling
carrying out regular risk assessments, audits and checks.

able to demonstrate a broad range of maintenance skills
knowledgeable about, and experienced in, health and safety legislation and regulations
a great communicator, both verbally and in writing
someone with digital skills and an understanding of how IT works
