The Company

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for the world’s largest manufacturing company supplying in to the build and construction sector. A true market leader within their field, they provide the highest quality products.

This company is a highly successful business delivery high quality services and products across 15 sites. As a company, they have experienced huge organic growth but have also acquired dozens of new clients over the years.

My client is able to offer job security and also numerous opportunities to progress either into further leadership positions or to improve your technical skills.

Due to an internal promotion, they are now looking for an experienced Maintenance Team Leader.

This role would suit an existing leader and is looking to develop and take on more responsibilities and work with a bigger team.

As the Maintenance Team Leader you will be responsible for working closely with the maintenance manager to ensure the team are motivated and work in a safe manner, all whilst improving maximum down time efficiency and high productivity.

Responsibilities:


  • Supervising a team of 9 engineers
  • Schedule planned preventative maintenance.
  • Mentoring and developing
  • Ensuring your team in the best position to carry out their work to the best of their ability
  • Attend emergency breakdowns
  • Promote Lean thinking and actively look for ways to improve efficiencies
  • Monitoring quality from raw material to finished goods
  • Carry out factory inspections

The ideal candidate for this Maintenance Team Leader position you must have the following skills, abilities or qualifications:


  • Must have a recognised mechanical qualification (apprenticeship, NVQ level 3, BTEC, ONC, C&G and or HNC
  • Proven track record or supervision and leadership experience, ideally 2 years plus
  • Experience of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • A positive can-do attitude.
