The role
As a Maintenance Support Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be the primary support of all station equipment working on a national defence contract.
Day-to-day, you'll:
Work with your colleagues, the Operations Support Supervisor, the Station Manager and the Network Operations Centre (NOC) to ensure capacity across our network
Work with the installation and maintenance teams
Escalate failures in line with departmental reporting expectations
Deputise and cover for the Senior Maintenance and Support Engineer in their absence
Create/change written authorised procedures and manuals as directed by the Senior Maintenance and Support Engineer
This position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time. Candidates must be able to work safely and perform tasks at varying heights.
