A one-stop-shop that manufactures high precision components for an array of industries across the UK and overseas, is now seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team of 5 engineers.

As Maintenance Supervisor, you will be tasked with managing a team of 5 maintenance engineers, training, mentoring and progressing them through the ranks to help increase the team size and become even more effective. The role will evolve with you and the intention will be for you to become Engineering Manager in the mid-term, whilst being hands on in the short-term.

As a Maintenance Supervisor, your duties will include -

  • Supporting the Engineering Manager in implementing maintenance framework
  • Providing Maintenance support for site facilities and machinery, including furnaces, via TPM schedule and reactive breakdown situations
  • Involvement with modernisation of the plant, installing new equipment/machinery
  • Leading, supervising, and mentoring a team of Electrical Maintenance Engineers, monitoring performance, identifying any issues or areas for improvement and involvement in recruitment
  • Ensuring that H&S and Quality Management Systems are adhered to

To be successful in the role of Maintenance Supervisor, the ideal candidate will -

  • Be an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Supervisor with bias to heavy industry / manufacturing
  • Have an HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Be capable of diagnosing PLC logic faults (Mitsubishi, Siemens, Allen Bradley)
  • Have a clear understanding of H&S and environmental analysis
  • Ideally have leadership experience, either as a Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager whilst remaining "hands on". Those feeling they have the necessary experience and are ready for that next step up in their career will also be considered

On offer -

  • A competitive basic salary (flexible dependant on experience)
  • 37.5hours per week, flexible between 6am - 4pm, Monday - Friday
  • Overtime paid at time + 1/3 midweek and Saturday, time + � Sunday
  • 33 days holiday, including bank holidays
  • Clear path of progression to Engineering Manager, with salary increasing to reflect this

Based in the West Midlands, this role is commutable from Bridgnorth, Bromsgrove, Wolverhampton, Redditch, Smethwick and all surrounding areas
