We proudly employ over 4000+ people -no matter what your experience, we have jobs for everyone.We have an amazing opportunity for Maintenance Officerto join our caring and support team at our Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre,our specialist centre in Kent, we look after adults with a brain injury or other neurological condition.Set within the 12 acre grounds of a manor house, we specialise in intensive rehabilitation for people in the early stages of recovery from a brain injury right through to residential care.What you'll be working:Full timeMust drive andhave a valid UK driving licence.37.5 hoursper weekMonday to Friday with half hour unpaid break.What you'll be doing:To create maintenance plans, making reference to audits, reports, proposals and finance projections.To provide a general maintenance service and identify/ rectify building defects, including carrying out maintenance work in Units, as required, e.g. changing washers, decorating, putting up shelves.To undertake minor electrical and plumbing repair work.To undertake grounds maintenance work as required.To be responsible for the transportation and escorting of our service users.Working closely with the managers, ensuring that service users are transported to all timetabled events, including activities, therapies and hospital appointments.General weekly maintenance of company vehicle.To work at varying locations if requiredTo perform ad hoc duties when required, e.g. collecting and returning items to head officeWhat you'll have:Previous experience in a similar maintenance/caretaking role.Relevant Qualification, eg CIOB/CIH Housing Maintenance qualificationHold a full and clean current driving licenseExperience in a general maintenance role, including carrying out minor building repairsAbility to work with clients who have epilepsy and severe learning disabilityAwareness of all Health and Safety regulationsAbility to work on own initiativeOrganisational, time management and planning skillsGood interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsWe also want to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable facilities to participate in job applications or interviews to perform essential job functions.
