Maintenance Manager

The company

An established manufacturer of MDF products, are looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Manager for both machine maintenance and estates management over two sites.

Position Summary

As Maintenance Manager your key focus will be to manage a team of maintenance engineers to carry out day to day maintenance tasks and complete daily, weekly, and monthly PPM routines in line with KPIs on plant up time. As manager of maintenance dept, you will also be expected to contribute ideas on developing the plant machinery and be part of the core implementation team of new plant and equipment. Supporting the operations team on ensuring the highest possible quality standards through well maintained equipment

Duties:

• Ensuring of compliance to company H&S polices / procedures.


• Manage and implementation of procedures and processes.


• Ensuring the completion of production line breakdowns in a timely manner


• Completion of daily, weekly and monthly PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) routines.


• Use shopfloor data to improve line up time.


• Schedule management of Estate maintenance (3 sites)


• Ordering and control of replacement parts and critical spares.


• Have a direct involvement in new machine investments, working with contractors / suppliers on relevant projects.

The successful candidate will be qualified from either an electrical or mechanical background ideally with experience in continuous improvements and experience of management within a manufacturing environment.
