Maintenance Manager (Engineering Supervisor) Electrical Bias

Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturer based in the Penistone area of South Yorkshire. They are looking for an experienced Maintenance Team Leader (with an Electrical bias) to be a hands-on member of the engineering maintenance team, providing leadership and motivation. You will be responsible for identifying and prioritising pro-active and reactive maintenance tasks on a daily basis.This would suit someone with previous experience in a similar role where Mechanical & Electrical Engineers are managed (e.g. Engineering Supervisor / Maintenance Team Leader / Maintenance Manager / Maintenance Engineer Leader / Engineering Manager).Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off, days and nights on rotation.Salary: £46,272 basic + £3,093 shift allowance (total £49,365)Main responsibilities:• Leadership of multi-skilled Engineering team, including delegation of work, monitoring individuals, team performance, coaching and mentoring Engineers and Apprentices• Drive daily performance and objectives• Maintaining PPM adherence• Maintaining monitoring systems• Leading shift and departmental projects• Completing personal objectives in line with business requirements• Liaise with Engineering Manager regarding Continuous Improvement and long-term projects.• Provide hands on support for shift teamsRequirements:• Qualified in Engineering (NVQ Level 3) / Apprentice trained, with an Electrical bias.• Time served multi-skilled engineer with a strong technical knowledge in heavy Manufacturing• Knowledge of modern Maintenance techniques, Lean Manufacturing and other Continuous Improvement techniques• Flexible and motivational• Previous experience of leading a multi-disciplined engineering team• Experience with Agility Maintenance Planning would be advantageous
