They will also be responsible for managing the budget and ensuring achievement of KPI’s. This role will develop into supporting continuous improvement in Maintenance with TPM Development & Six Sigma Projects.Previous experience of managing Maintenance & Engineering stores.A background in high pressure, high volume manufacturing.Excellent organisation and planning skills, enthusiasm, energy & drive.Able to work under pressure.Experience in negotiating & tendering contracts.Import & Export KnowledgeKey tasks & responsibilities:Coach and mentor 1 direct reportCost Control (MRO).Managing the warranty & repair process.Identifying Critical Spares.Develop and manage vendor rating system.5S Development in Engineering Stores.Work towards a vendor managed inventory (VMI) approach.Implementation and control of CMMS Inventory Managements System.Reduce downtime sourcing ‘Best Value’ spares and components.Support the improvement of maintenance systems.Generating and implementing continuous improvement ideas and involvement in Six Sigma activities.A flexible approach with a positive attitude, strong problem solving skills and communication skills.Key performance measures:Inventory Control (Accuracy & Reduction)Maintenance Development (TPM & Six Sigma)Minimum ONC within an Engineering or Manufacturing DisciplinePurchasing qualifications would be an advantageAt Avery Dennison we are committed to fostering an environment of inclusion as an integral part of the employee experience.We're committed to workplace diversity because it’s the right thing to do – both for employees and for the business.
