Role: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Letchworth

Shifts: Earlies and Lates (Monday to Friday)

Salary: £49,000 + Overtime

The Business:

A Long standing key manufacturing business that have contracts with major businesses in the UK are currently looking to add a Maintenance Engineer to their highly skilled Engineering function that has a clear structure that allows the right Engineers to progress up the ranks through time served with the business.

 Having recently been taken over by a large Multi-National group there has been a lot of investment into the business and they now have multiple sites Across the UK with plans to continue to grow over the next 5 years. This is an exciting time to join the business with multiple projects and more in the pipeline, there is plenty of work to be getting your teeth stuck into!

The Role:

The role of Maintenance Engineer will include the following responsibilities:

• Reactive and Planned Maintenance on various automated production machinery
• Working Electrically with: Sensors, Relays, Contactors, 3 Phase Motors, Invertors
• Mechanically working with: Chains, Pulleys, Belts, Rollers, Gearboxes, Shafts, Bearings
• Working with a Shift Partner and a Lead Engineer on site
• Working a On-Call Rota 1 in every 5 weeks (Paid at Premium rates + Standby – Paid Door to Door)

The Candidate:

The Right candidate for the role of Maintenance Engineer will be/have

• A Recognised Engineering Qualification either Electrical or Mechanical
• Experience working within Maintenance in a Factory setting
• Be confident in electrical skills, able to fault find and rectify issues
• Work well within a team environment or alone
• Be able to work an on call rota
• Have an eye for making Improvements to machines
