Our client, a well-established, multi-site Food Manufacturer, is looking for a Night Maintenance Engineer for their site based in Cornwall. The successful candidate will be responsible for directly supporting operations through continuous improvement initiatives and a first-time-fix approach.
Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, responsibilities for the role will include:
Working closely with the Technical and Operations teams to ensure all Engineering work is carried out in accordance with food safety best practice, and to highlight, resolve and/or advise on any food safety issues or concerns in which machinery, facilities or engineering practice is a factor
Analysing and interpreting engineering day plans and information to make short and long-term Engineering plans
Utilising Continuous Improvement (CI) principles and methodologies to ensure best practice is sustained
Proactively taking personal responsibility and accountability to fully understand challenges, seek solutions and facilitate collaborative working
Essential / Desirable skills include:
Experienced maintenance engineer with electrical experience
Level 3 engineering qualifications minimum, must have electrical qualifications (engineering, industrial, not domestic)
Fault finding and repair experience
Manufacturing experience preferred
Must be happy to do fixed shifts over the weekend periods

The hours and salary for the role are as follows:
Permanent night shift 18:30 – 06:45 working Saturday - Tuesday (week 1) Saturday - Monday (week 2) on a weekly rotational basis.
Salary up to £52k per annum
