Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Skelmersdale

Salary: £20 per hour

Employment Type: Ad Hoc Shifts, Starting Monday, 5th March

We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a team on an ad hoc basis, supporting our operations with flexibility and expertise.

Position Overview:
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our industrial processes. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults, conducting preventative maintenance tasks, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and resolve issues efficiently to minimize production disruptions.
  • Conduct thorough fault diagnosis and implement effective repair solutions for mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop innovative solutions.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Document maintenance activities and keep accurate records of work performed.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in an industrial setting.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexibility to work ad hoc shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Salary and Benefits:


  • £20 per hour
  • Payment options available: LTD or PAYE
