This is a key role, and you will be part of the Service organisation's extended leadership team, being accountable for providing inspirational and motivational leadership and management support and the ongoing commitment to drive excellence through data-driven solutions and technical advice. Role ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include proactively defining and delivering Maintenance strategies for the Baggage Handling systems at Heathrow Airport. Identifying and developing proactive and predictive maintenance technologies. Managing a blended team of Vanderlande and Heathrow maintenance and asset specialists. Providing support to the site-based teams as well Project teams, Spares and Procurement teams.With approximately 60K maintainable assets in the Heathrow Baggage systems, this role is key to realising success for Vanderlande as well as our customer.Join us in this exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our organisation through impactful leadership and effective maintenance and reliability solutions.Your responsibilities and activities will include:Management of a joint Vanderlande/ Heathrow team (7 direct, 4 indirect)Drive proactive development and continuously improve a risk-based maintenance (RBM) approach.Ensure accurate recording of the assets and maintenance in the CMMS (Maximo)Deliver Vanderlande global maintenance innovations locally and collaborate with global colleagues to share and bring the best to the UKEnsure the delivery of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) is performed, following system incidentsHave input into the long-term Asset Management approachSupport the long-term investment requirements, Life Cycle Planning, and Risk ManagementInitiate and drive innovative Proof of Technology (PoT) and Proof of Concept (PoC) deployments to improve asset management practices.Work closely with our Solutions team to represent front-line Service interests in projects and ensure a coordinated delivery approachBe an active and supportive member within the global organisation of the growing network of global Maintenance DevelopmentSupport where required during ISO audit processes.Support quality Business Cases to replace existing Baggage Handling system partsBe proactive in identifying areas of improvement and cooperation across local departments and global organisationsAble to turn academic and theoretical into practical and valuable business changeAble to represent Engineering interests in a complex stakeholder environmentGood knowledge of service management (Design, Build, Operate, Maintain, IT)Role Qualifications and SkillsA supportive and encouraging leader with demonstrable experience in managing technical teams and identifying and nurturing talentBlend technical, stakeholder engagement and project management skillsExcellent stakeholder management skills and problem-solving abilities with the ability to work collaboratively & build robust, sustainable & beneficial relationshipsA confident, professional manner with a “Can Do” approachProven track record in driving Maintenance Strategies to improve reliabilityKnowledge of predictive and condition-based maintenance techniquesStrong communication skills, able to explain complex matters to customers and internal stakeholders clearly and relevantlyGood knowledge of ISO 55000 or similarInstitute of Asset Management or similar qualifications preferredWhat we offer28 days of annual leave (excluding public holidays)Bupa Medical CoverYuLife – Wellbeing membership with fast access to GP appointments, promotion of health and wellbeing along with daily quests to gain Yucoins that can be swapped for shopping vouchersPerkbox includes things such as free eye tests at Specsavers including discounts on Glasses, free cinema vouchers and a weekly free coffee from Nero.
