• Salary: £24,000 - £27,000 per annum ( negotiable depending on experience) + ON CALL 
• Hours: Full time- 37.5 hours per week
• Contract type: Permanent

Where you will be working;
We are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Assistant to join our highly reputable private healthcare provider. The role will be working in their modern, purpose-built private hospital in Reading and is within easy reach of local shops, amenities and public transport links. The role will be working as a Maintenance Assistant for the hospital, assisting in day to day mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks. The hospital is a leading hospital and you would be working for a large and highly reputable company that offers excellent career opportunities.
About the role:
You will be working as a Maintenance Assistant and will be responsible for;

• Assisting with the day to day mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks
• Reactive repairs focusing on maintain and ensuring compliance throughout the hospital
• Undertaking PPMs (Planned preventative Maintenance)
• General repairs at the hospital
• Participate in the on call rota (paid on call rates additional to base pay)

Who we're looking for;
All applicants for the role of Maintenance Assistant must meet the following criteria;

• City & Guilds Qualification- part 1 and part 2 mechanical or electrical qualification is essential
• Eligible to live/ work in the UK
• NVQ Level 3 highly desirable
• Experience as a tradesperson or electrical maintenance engineer is essential
• Understanding of Health and Safety
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
