A hugely exciting opportunity for someone looking for a first or second job in publishing, working with a highly trained and effective team, and led by one of the most well-respected literary agents in the industryThe MM Agency is looking for an energetic and highly organised assistant with a passion for books to work closely with Madeleine Milburn and her existing team consisting of Rachel Yeoh and Liv Maidment. The successful applicant will be an avid reader and a team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills. A keen interest in promoting Madeleine’s authors online is vital. They will have a meticulous eye for detail, the ability to proactively juggle multiple tasks at once, a natural flair for social media, and will be able to use and develop systems with ease, thinking both methodically and creatively.Responsibilities include digital and diary management (email, website and social media), organising trips, front of house responsibilities, hosting events, promoting authors, liaising between departments, author care, database entry, contracts, tax form and royalty support, reporting on manuscripts, tracking publication schedules, and general office admin.
