Report to Machine Shop Supervisor on all machining and production matters and act as deputy to Machine Shop Supervisor or Senior Machinist Team Leader as and when necessary.2In-charge of the production machines, to deal with any machining problems and report back to Machine Shop Supervisor.3Monitor the cleanliness of operators’ work areas and machines, ensure housekeeping is maintained and the standard continues to improve, on a weekly basis.4Strong advocate of safety at work for self and team members, ensures compliance and support to workplace health & safety initiatives including daily Take-5 and toolbox talks.5Participate in on-the-job training and assist to train other operators as and when required.6Complete connector inspection job sheets, when required.7Set up first article in machines and run through to completion with minimal supervision.8Complete production route sheets by ensuring operation are stamped when the work is completed.9Machine components to the requirements of route sheets and drawing instructions.10Perform daily routine maintenance checks and report any problems to Machine Shop Supervisor.11Check and top up machine coolant daily to the required level.12Monitor tool insert life and look for ways to improve.13Adjust tool offsets, as required, to comply with component drawings.14Accept and perform any additional work related instructions/activities, to the best of his ability, as determined by the department Supervisor/Manager.15Perform the role of Site Incident Controller to take charge of the actual ground response operations and provide assistance / information to Singapore Civil Defense Force (“SCDF”) ground commander in the event of emergencies.16Comply with OSI Quality Management System, OSI HE&E policy and requirements.17Look to raise a minimum of 10 stop cards per year.Qualification RequirementsFormal Education & CertificationMinimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Professional Technical Certificate.Knowledge & ExperienceMinimum 3 years of CNC Machining experience with Fanuc Control.Must be able to read an engineering drawing blueprint.Must be conversant in geometric tolerances.Must be fully conversant with basic inspection measuring equipment, including O/D micrometers, bore micrometers, depth micrometer, vernier calipers, ball gauges, and thread gauges.Understand basic trigonometry (sine, cosine, tan)Personal AttributesAble to read and speak basic English.Ability to pay attention to details and be a good team player.
