Machine Shop Manager

My client is a world leading engineering company, working on some of the largest and most high profile projects in the UK today.The workshop produces parts and components to a very high standard, in line with ISO9000.Due to someone retiring, we are now seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to take on a busy and profitable production machine workshop.This role will suit someone either already working in a similar role and looking for a change or someone looking for the next step in their career.Role Requirement:Day to day management of the production environmentMeet agreed order fulfilment & profit margin requirementsMaintain a safe and tidy workshop environmentDay to day management of the team, ensuring a cohesive and happy workforceEnsure that all equipment is safe, maintained and capableMeet required quality standardsUnderstanding of the production engineering processAbility to interpret drawings and specificationsExperience in the manufacture of parts and componentsStrong interpersonal skills, able to lead from the frontThis role might suit a workshop supervisor, ready to take on a manager role as you will be working alongside the current manager for 2 days each week and will receive on the job training and support to learn the commercial side of the business.Arranging interviews ASAP for a before Christmas start ideally.
