This role is looking for a Machine Setter who will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and operating machinery in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will need a keen eye for detail, strong understanding of production procedures, and a commitment to ensuring machine efficiency.

Description

  • To maintain high integrity for Health & Safety, Environment and Quality to support the business in maintaining and improving upon the standards expected
  • Achieve the efficient running of the metal conduit cell by setting tooling onto machinery and modifying conditions to ensure product quality is within specification
  • To work in accordance with the company quality manual
  • Monitor the quality of conduit produced with reference to drawings, specifications, systems and agreed checking frequency resolving any issues that may occur
  • Take an active role in improving metal conduit department's efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensure high standard of housekeeping at all times to include machine, floor and general area. Removal of all scrap and rubbish from the section into the appropriate waste receptacle provided.
  • Ensure equipment you are operating is in its optimum condition by reporting and resolving any faults
  • Suggest to management any improvements that will reduce costs and improve quality.
  • Other duties may have to be undertaken which will be determined by the Company, taking into account the current level of responsibilities, experience and capabilities

Profile

A successful Machine Setter should have:

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of production procedures and machine setting.
  • Ability to read schematics and manuals.
  • A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Relevant vocational qualifications or training.
