Machine Operator

We are recruiting for a Machine Operator with experience in blow moulding plastics ideally to work continental shifts (days and nights) for a leading plastics manufacturer based in Liverpool.
This is a full time, permanent role working 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off on a rolling pattern (either 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am) offering a pay rate of �12-14.27 per hour dependent on experience.
As Machine Operator reporting into the Team Supervisor you will be working on blown film machines with the following responsibilities:

• Produce polyolefin film products to the required customer specification on extrusion production line(s).
• Maximisation of production output.
• Completion of order and blend changes.
• Carry out and accurately record quality control checks, taking remedial action where required.
• Working to work order instructions and job specification sheets, and accurately completing all production-related controlled documents, ensuring compliance to customer requirements and quality standards.
• Promptly notify Lead Operators and/or Team Supervisor if the product is out of specification, or there are doubts around final/end use performance or product safety.
• Ensure raw material supplies and material feed are maintained.
• Removal and segregation of scrap product following the correct procedure for removal of excess raw materials.
• Ensure finished product packaging is completed to specification and sufficient to achieve customer expectations.

We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:

• At least 3 years proven experience as a Machine Operator in a plastics extrusion manufacturing environment (or similar)
• Level 3 NVQ/SNVQ Blown Film Process advantageous but not essential
• Previously worked shifts preferably continental days and nights
• RTITB FLT License desirable although full external training can arranged.
