Machine Operative 2pm-10pm

My client a well established manufacturing company based in Burnley is currently seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join their afternoon team on a temporary ongoing basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery and ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products.

The hours are working a permanent back shift 2pm-10pm Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities:

- Cutting materials to size prior to filling machines

- Remove waste materials from the machine

- Moving large heavy components to allow machines to run efficiently

- Following written and verbal instructions well

- Loading and unloading materials

- Manage materials handling processes effectively

- Perform stock counts daily

- Apply basic maths skills for measurements and calculations

- Demonstrate time management

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Machine Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment

- Competence in using hand tools for various tasks

- Experience with materials handling techniques

- Strong mathematical abilities for measurements and calculations

- Physically able to lift heavy loads
