A reputable Leeds based D&B M&E contractor (T/O c£15m) with a long trading history, who provide Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Design and Installation Service to the Industrial, Commercial, Retail, Leisure, Private and Public sectors.

Clients worked with include Rolls Royce, Ministry of Defence, HSBC, Dupont, Carlsberg and many other blue chip companies as well as the public sector.

Typical projects range in value between £2m and £7m (M&E value).

The Role:

The successful applicant would be capable of managing pre and post contract aspects of M&E services surveying on multiple D&B projects. They will provide financial and commercial support including:

• Compilation and placing of Subcontract Orders

• Contractual review of future projects, understanding payment terms and obligations with a view to minimising risk.

• The preparation and presentation of internal monthly financial reports

• The preparation and presentation of internal monthly cost forecasts

• Submission and agreement of monthly Interim Applications

• Preparation and submission of Cash Flow Forecasts

• Agreement of Subcontract Interim Applications

• Preparation, submission, agreement of variations and final accounts

• Agreement of Subcontract Final Accounts

• Ability to prepare, submit and agree loss and expense claims

• Following commercial procedures



The Person

Demonstrable experience within a similar role, working for an M&E contractor or main / sub-contractor.

• A positive, proactive individual that works collaboratively with colleagues and the client team.

• Good negotiation skills.

• Good working knowledge of standard forms of contract particularly NEC and JCT forms.
Experience of:

• Preparing valuations, variations and final accounts

• Managing sub-contract accounts & procurement

• Cost/value forecast monitoring

• Contract administration using various standard forms of contract

• Producing, managing and forecasting material procurement on site
The Salary

Salary from £45,000 to £60,000 depending on experience




  • Car or car allowance of £5k

  • 20 days annual leave plus statutory Bank Holidays (negotiable)

  • Company pension 3% / 5%
