Job Title: Building Services Manager (M&E) Location: East Midlands Are you an experienced M&E Contracts Manager or Project Manager looking to transition from an M&E contractor to a main contractor? We have an exciting opportunity for you! Our major contracting firm in the East Midlands is seeking a skilled Building Services Manager to join our team. If you possess knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems and have a background in commercial and industrial projects, we want to hear from you! Role Overview: As a Building Services Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the mechanical and electrical aspects of construction projects. This position offers the opportunity to step into a client-side role within a reputable main contractor, where you will have the chance to contribute to the successful delivery of diverse projects in the commercial and industrial sectors. Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate mechanical and electrical components of construction projects from conception to completion. Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services and materials. Monitor project budgets, schedules, and quality standards to ensure compliance with client requirements and industry regulations. Provide technical expertise and guidance to address mechanical and electrical challenges throughout the project lifecycle. Foster strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives effectively. Uphold stringent health, safety, and environmental practices on-site to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience as an M&E Contracts Manager or Project Manager within the construction industry. Comprehensive knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, with experience in commercial and industrial settings. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines. Desire to transition into a client-side role within a main contracting firm. Relevant qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field.
