As a Luggage Porter at London Bridge Hotel, you will:
To attend promptly and courteously to guests at all times in order to make them feel welcome
To ensure customer satisfaction by giving a polite and efficient service
Transport guests luggage to and from their rooms carefully and promptly, and to store safely in the luggage room when requested
Issuing the correct receipts and maintaining luggage record book
To efficiently and courteously room guests in accordance with the hotel standard and explain ALL room equipment and operating functions
To ensure every effort is made to meet guest needs, with all comments and complaints being actioned following procedures laid down by the Hotel and Company policies and procedures
To assist guests with any taxi requests
To ensure desks are stocked with pens and brochures and hotel stationary
To run departmental errands as instructed by superiors. Ensure outside of hotel is clean and swept and window ledges are free from discarded rubbish/cigarettes/bottles/cans etc.
To deliver mail, messages, faxes, packages to rooms
Accepting courier items on behalf of guests and recording items for guest signature
To work alongside reception and carry their instructions i.e. room moves
To be able to answer the telephone in accordance with hotels standards
To ensure a high level of security is maintained at all times
To ensure all Public areas and the front of house are kept to the highest standards of maintenance and cleanliness and are made as welcoming as possible
To develop a local knowledge of the surrounding areas so as to be competent enough to recommend places of interest and to dine
Be familiar with hotels facilities: conference rooms, restaurant, bars, gym etc.
To provide/receive efficient handover
To cover night duties when required (on occasion only)
Personal Specification: Positive attitude and good communication skills Previous experience in a customer-focused industry Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service Ability to work as part of a team
