JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role.About this opportunityWe have an interesting and exciting opportunity for an experienced, skilled, and committed person to provide support to Young People aged 10-18 with social, emotional, behavioural, and mental health difficulties.The successful candidate will join our established team, working to improve outcomes for children and young people.The successful candidate should have knowledge and experience of the Criminal Justice System, Early Help processes, and be passionate about early intervention.As a Low-Risk Case Worker, you will work within the multi-agency Youth Justice Service to deliver effective prevention and targeted intervention to reduce offending and reoffending by children and young people. The role involves working with a caseload of young people subject to Criminal Justice Disposals, and their families, who are not assessed as posing a high risk to others.You will be required to carry out assessments and work with young people to develop plans, prepare and maintain accurate written records, and ensure the delivery of disposals imposed by the courts and police. It is important that the voices of children and young people are heard and informs assessment and direct work.You will work closely with our Turnaround programme, to work with young people and families to prevent offending. To ensure positive outcomes and be passionate in working with young people, being proactive and thinking outside of the box to engage and carry out direct out with young people.The right candidate will have experience of working with and engaging young people and families with complex needs. You will be able to take a strength-based approach to empower people to make changes, while demonstrating persistence to overcome any problems.
