Loss Prevention Investigator

An exciting opportunity has emerged to join a growing and successful Loss Prevention Team. We have a vacancy for a Loss Prevention Investigator, to be based in London area.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Providing advice and guidance to key stakeholders on all aspects of Loss Prevention. Stakeholders include; Regional Managers, Cluster Leaders, Bookshop Managers and Booksellers.
· Actively work to reduce shrinkage and cash loss by identifying risk in stores and providing advice, coaching and support to store teams.
· Deterring, detecting, and investigating internal/ external loss at store level within designated locations.
· Coach colleagues in dealing with potential and identified shop lifters through leading by example.
· Analyse relevant KPI information to provide targeted local interventions.
· Visit Waterstones branches on a need’s basis, dependant on risk to the business.
· Liaise with local law enforcement and crime agencies to help further reduce the risk of theft.
· To continuously work to find ways to reduce risk, and shrinkage within our stores.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for:
· A minimum of 2 years experience dealing with shrink and crime resolution within a retail or policing environment.
· Knowledge of loss prevention policies and practices.
· IT literate - Word & Excel.
