Full Job DescriptionYour newpanyWe are really excited to work with abakery located in the heart of London who are currently looking toexpand their Supply Chain team with a Logistics and TransportDirector. They are currently working with big name cafés andrestaurants as well as supplying pastries and baked goods toindependent cafés and coffee shops in and around prestigious locationsin London. They are a 15 million GBP turnover business and have plansto double in the next 5 years.Your new roleYourmain responsibilities as the Logistics and Transport Director would beoverseeing 15+ vans, ensuring they run on time to the routes with amore hands-on approach. You will also be reporting to the ManagingDirector and spend most of your working time in the warehouse with oneday a week spent in the office. In addition, you will be leading ateam of around 15–20 people in both the transportation and productiondepartments. As this business grows, you will be leading the operationand strategic approach to logistics and transportation and buildingout this team as necessary.What you'll need to succeedA successful candidate will be able to inspire their teamand have great leadership qualities whilst also being able to manage achallenging workforce schedule. You will have prior experience in themovement of goods (ideally food products) on time and in full todeliver brilliant customer service. You will be a problem-solver innature and thrive in this growing business which currently has 90full-time employees. You must be flexible to work varied hours,especially at the beginning of this role where flexibility andvisibility is key.
