SRG is delighted to be representing a breakthrough technology company that specialises in synthetic and stem cell biology. They are now looking for a Research Assistant to join a growing team. The Logistics Technicians are responsible for receiving incoming goods, preparing shipments for sensitive biological materials and tracking the movement of goods shipped across the world, whilst ensuring timely delivery in the most safe, efficient and cost-effective way.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Pack, prepare and ship materials globally, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and transport regulations including IATA & International Customs regulations.
Ensure materials with special handling, storage or distribution requirements (such as hazardous shipments and temperature critical material) are accurately supervised.
Handling of hazardous goods (including but not limited to liquid nitrogen storage, dry ice, lithium batteries) for all typologies of shipment.
Proactively track shipments and investigate any missing shipments or shipment errors interacting with couriers and/or clients to troubleshoot proactively, timely and accurately on delivery status.
Receipt, booking-in and inspection of stock. Update ERP accurately and promptly with relevant information, prioritising temperature sensitive products.
Desired Profile:
BSc or equivalent in a relevant subject/related field of study
Have an IATA Dangerous Goods Certification OR willingness to get certified in the first three months.
Have excellent time management and experience working to challenging deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Are comfortable with this role involving standing 60% to 100% of the time and lifting heavy weights.
Are willing and able to work flexible hours in line with the requirements of the role as and when required.
Experience with general shipping activities as well as customs import/export process and stock management activities.
