About The Role We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Logistics Operative on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently delivering goods to our clients and providing support in our warehouse operations. The position is based at our Risby depot at Morrison Telecom Services.
Responsibilities:
Warehouse Duties:
Assist with general warehouse operations, including but not limited to receiving, sorting, organizing, and storing goods.
Prepare and package products for delivery, ensuring accuracy and proper handling.
Conduct regular inventory checks to maintain stock accuracy and assist with stock rotation.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to safety and sanitation guidelines.
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as required (if certified and trained).
Delivery Duties:
Safely operate a company vehicle to transport goods to designated locations within the assigned delivery area.
Plan and organize delivery routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securing of the items.
Verify and document delivered goods, obtaining necessary signatures and maintaining accurate delivery records.
Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience during the delivery process.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe and efficient delivery operations.
Requirements:
Full, clean UK driving license is essential.
Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably in a similar warehouse environment.
Familiarity with the local area and ability to efficiently navigate through different routes.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow delivery schedules and instructions accurately.
Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving heavy items.
Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional attitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating good teamwork and communication skills.
Basic computer skills for maintaining delivery records and communicating with the warehouse team.
Valid forklift operating certification (preferred but not mandatory).
