Job description
Our client, Destiny Foods, is a well-established food manufacturer, with a national distribution network. Providing a high quality and extensive range of chilled/frozen products to our customers. They have a number of sites including a production facility in the UK with Europe.  They are a supportive, forward thinking, and dedicated team and are looking for a highly motivated team player, who wants to be part of a growing business and make a difference. This is a hands-on Logistics Manager role based at their site in Ealing, London. The role is responsible for managing a team of between 10 – 15 employees and is responsible for ensuring productivity targets are achieved. Driving warehousing and logistics processes and procedures,  ensuring compliance and safe systems area a priority for all.

Hours & Benefits

5 day working week
25 days annual leave (pro-rata) plus bank holidays.
Salary according to experience. £40,000 - £45,000

Nest pension scheme – 3% employer contribution, 5% company contributionResponsibilities

Day to day management of both the logistics and Warehouse teams,
Coordinating and effectively route planning for the multi-drop drivers
Ensuring adherence to all company policies and procedures
Chairing daily meetings with the team to ensure concerns or customer queries are dealt with quickly and efficiently
Liaise with the sales and customer service teams ensuring we are able to deliver a 1st class customer experience
People management to include absence management, performance, training and development and all people related matters
Ensuring the fleet of vehicles are always compliant with DVLA/VOSA and regularly cleaned and maintained.
Successful Completion of all site KPI’s and ensure they are reported in a timely manner.
Ensuring high standards of housekeeping and maintenance within the warehouse environment.
Managing the accurate control of both inbound and outbound stock.
Labour planning in line budget constraints.
Establish and maintain strong teamwork across the team.
To work in compliance with the health and safety policiesSkill & Knowledge

Minimum 3 years Logistics Management experience
Experience in operating an EPR warehouse management system
Experience of electronic delivery route planning is essential
A full driving licence essential
Previous experience of Day 1 for Day 2 dispatch
Experience in working in a chilled/frozen food environment is preferable
Strong leadership skills
VNA or counterbalance -advantageous but not essential
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good financial awareness and budget management experience
Highly motivated and ambitious individual.
Accuracy and attention to detail is essential
