Logistics Manager

Linsco Recruitment are looking for a Logistics Manager to start work on a construction site in York.

Requirements:

• CSCS, SSSTS/ SMSTS, Traffic Marshal ticket
• Experience in the role preferably on city centre multi room residential builds
• Great communication skills
• Works well under pressure

Responsibilities:

• Organising and ordering of equipment for use on site
• Working closely with engineers to ensure that the placement of equipment such as tower cranes and skips are in the correct places
• Ensuring the ordering and organising of materials is kept on top of at all times as this will be a busy construction site
• Responsible for managing the supply chain and supervise the movement, distribution and storage of goods from manufacturers and supplies to site.
• Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers
• Working with procurement managers and customers on product selection
• Planning and overseeing incoming and outgoing deliveries
• Planning and analysing budgets and expenditures
• Enforcing industry laws and regulations and company policies
• Resolving complaints and issues regarding the supply chain
• Maintaining customer service logs and safety records
