McMenon Engineering Services Ltd is a globally trusted partner of choice for flow, temperature, process measurement solutions and contract manufacturing services.With a mantra of ‘investing in innovation and the next generation’, McMenon champions diversity of thinking and opportunities, and we are looking for new team members to help us deliver our successful, exciting, and sustainable growth strategy.RESPONSIBILITIESLiaise with customers with regard to order and shipment queriesUpdate project timelines on our softwareCreate and have input on Sales Order production schedulesGeneral production and inspection of finished goods expediting to ensure OTDEnsure finished goods and packed inline with contract requirements and applicable procedures are followedObtain quotes for parts, materials, consumables as and when requiredPlan and coordinate transportation activities, including shipping, receiving, and distributionReview and plan departmental resources to achieve customer OTDMonitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any transportation-related issuesContinuously identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practicesStreamline Logistic operations to enhance productivity and reduce costsCommunicate effectively with stakeholders, internally and externallyLoading/Unloading deliveries and supervising staff to do the sameNegotiate rates with suppliers as required and engage with alternative logistic solutionsAssess and recommend ideal shipping methods, routing or carriers to meet necessary parameters, specifications and costs. Review shipping costs and report dataOversee timely completion of preventative and reactive facilities maintenance tasksMaintain effective relationships with operatives and contractorsLiaise with waste management servicesOrganise and arrange import/export shipment of completed sales orders and sub contract activities, working with vendors and customers to ensure timely processManage, train and coach logistics operators teamEnsure to maintain and complete departmental documents as requiredComply with company QHSE procedures & applicable standardsCarry out other tasks as requiredREQUIREMENTSKnowledge and application of CAD, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Power pointA positive attitude and willingness to work overtime if requiredKnowledge of Import/ export processesFLT licence would be advantageousExperience in scheduling and managing maintenance tasksPERSONAL SPECIFICATIONFlexible approach to work and a can-do attitudeProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteSkilled in verbal and written communicationStrong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
