Isle of Man/Lancashire (Frequent travel between both locations required)

Role Overview:

Join a dynamic and rapidly growing logistics business operating in both the Isle of Man and Lancashire. As the Logistics Director, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising the logistics operations across both locations. Reporting directly to the executive team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the logistics department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to optimise logistics operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, vendors, and internal departments, to drive operational excellence and ensure seamless coordination.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall logistics performance.
  • Oversee the management of transportation, warehousing, inventory, and distribution activities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
  • Analyse logistics data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and industry best practices.

Key Skills Required:

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the logistics industry, with a track record of driving operational excellence and achieving measurable results.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to deliver exceptional performance.
  • Excellent strategic planning and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of logistics operations, supply chain management principles, and industry trends.
  • Flexibility to travel frequently between the Isle of Man and Lancashire locations as needed.
