Internally working with the Operations and Supply Chain teams in recognising opportunities, making and implementing changes and sustaining improvements. Externally working with 3PL partners globally to; standardise processes, drive compliance, remove waste, reduce cost and improve customer satisfaction. The Continuous Improvement Manager will need to have a passion for not being satisfied with the status quo. Working continuously to improve processes and drive Castore’s ethos ‘Better Never Stops’. Responsibilities·Conduct detailed analysis of the current situation that accurately describes the issues·Evaluating and prioritising potential improvements based on gains and required effort·Accurately analysing options including impact and feasibility·Establishing criteria for a project’s success, including constraints and limitations·Identify available resources (for example; people, materials and finances)·Identifying intervention priorities and indicators·Planning, facilitating, and executing continuous improvement events using Lean Six Sigma tools·Establish a clear and well-articulated implementation plan·Appropriately implementing principles of governance·Clearly defining methodologyI know I am doing a great job if:·Complete process analysis of current Logistics activities and identify weaknesses and potential improvements in Castore’s operations·The results of the process analysis, you model Castore’s business operations in such a way that they produce the highest possible outcome·Ways in which to streamline and improve working processes have been recommended·Optimise workflows until each process has reached its optimal state and the best possible performance·Implement the improved workflow, tracking performance and/or cost reduction·Operate change management·Improve processes iteratively·Projects (systems, handling solutions, …) have been supported in analysis, solution development and implementationSkills & QualitiesGeneral Skills:·Excellent communication skills together with the ability to negotiate and influence parties both within and outside of the business at all levels ·Commercially astute in order to drive appropriate decision making ·Analytical mind set and detail oriented·Able to manage and prioritise own workload effectively especially in a time critical environment·Excellent work habits focusing on safety, quality and productivity·Ability to work effectively in an autonomous environment ·Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload·Ability to work in silo or part of a team Operating Skills:·Continuous improvement·Root cause analysis·Value stream mapping·5S·Lean Six Sigma ·KaizenExperience Required:·Experience within an logistics environment·Experience of CI experience·Management experience·Retail sector, wholesale and eCommerce experience·Particularly sports/fashion retail is preferred·Experience working with external partners·Previous experience working for a 3PL or managed inhouse operation ideallyPersonal Qualities:·Passion for Continuous Improvement·Analytical mindset·AmbitiousWhat We Offer•Competitive salary •Discretionary bonus scheme •25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) •An opportunity to work with global sporting partners •A chance to build a career with a fast paced, high growth brand •Employee assistance programme •Generous staff discount
