Logistics Assistant

We have an excellent opportunity for a Logistics Assistant to join this well-established women's fashion clothing supplier to high street Retail chains in the UK and Europe at their head office in Park Royal, London.About the roleAs part of a Supply Chain Management team you as a Logistics Assistant will keep track of import and export of shipments and be familiar with transportation mode, cost of shipment, and arrival times and your duties will include:Assisting within a logistics environment of import, export and local deliveriesGeneral knowledge of warehouse operations,Outgoing Goods - ensuring orders are ready for despatch as per Customer Purchase order and relevant packing list, invoices are sent.Basic admin and stock control dutiesEstablish and uphold relationships to effectively carry out your duties and work within a teamMeet targets within scheduled time-frameAbout youAs a Logistics Assistant you must have:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAn understanding and knowledge of managing paper and electronic filesProven experience in stock control and a good knowledge of hygiene, housekeeping, and safety standardsExcellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Dynamics (NAV)Work well under pressureHave excellent planning and multi-tasking skills to effectively prioritize and handle multiple assignmentsBe willing to and able to work flexible hours as requiredAbout the RewardsAs a Logistics Assistant you will receive a salary of £22,000 to £25,000 per annum depending on experience and you will also receive:28 days holiday including bank holidaysFree onsite parkingOpportunity for career progressionHow to ApplyPlease note that eRecruitSmart is advertising on the role of Logistics Assistant behalf of the Hiring Company and your CV will be sent to the Hiring Manager who is responsible for the vacancy that you have applied to.
