We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Logistics Administrator to join our team at a leading chemical manufacturing facility located in Leek, operating within a COMAH site. As a vital member of our logistics department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of distribution, import, and export operations.



Responsibilities:




  • Efficiently coordinate and manage the transportation of goods via road, sea, and air freight to meet delivery deadlines.

  • Oversee the preparation and processing of import and export documentation, including export licenses, permits, and customs clearance.

  • Collaborate closely with customs authorities and freight forwarding partners to ensure compliance with regulations and streamline customs procedures.

  • Stay updated on shipping laws and legal requirements to ensure adherence and mitigate risks effectively.

  • Utilize your expertise in planning to optimize logistics processes and minimize costs while maintaining quality standards.

  • Provide administrative support to the logistics team as required to ensure efficient operations.



Key Skills and Qualifications:




  • Previous experience in logistics administration within a manufacturing environment is essential.

  • Proficient in managing road, sea, and air freight logistics.

  • Hands-on experience with export licenses, permits, and customs documentation.
