Recruiting for a reputable manufacturing business, we are sourcing for a Logistics Administrator to join their Northallerton based operation.
Reporting into the Head of Logistics, the Logistics Administrator will audit all stock and inventory movements in and out of multiple production facilities. The administration team works in partnership with a team of Logistics Coordinators to supervise the logistics operations on behalf of a multi-site, multi-functional FMCG manufacturing business. The role involves numerical responsibilities; stock reconciliations, purchase and invoice ledgers, book keeping and stock retracing. As the role works with team members directly and indirectly, the job holder is also responsible for the effective and accurate communication of logistics issues to stakeholders within the business.
Ideal candidates for this position will have high levels of skill in numeric reasoning and attention to detail. The role will require the successful candidate to be able to complete administrative tasks quickly and thoroughly without error. Clear and concise communication skills are a must; the position will require thorough communication with suppliers, clients and the companys senior management team.
Any working knowledge of Microsoft Excel would be desirable. It is not imperative that candidates have direct knowledge of the food industry or a logistics background, but those that dont need to demonstrate the ability to make correct decisions quickly in a fast paced environment.
