Working within the General Surgery Department, specifically within the UGI Team.Partaking in the General Surgery Directorate on call rota alongside Consultant colleagues.Main duties of the jobIn conjunction with Consultant and Senior colleagues, to provide a service in General Surgery.In conjunction with Consultant and Senior colleagues, to play a full part in the out-of-hours On-Call service for the department. This includes being on-call for telephone advice and major incidents.To provide cover for Consultant and Senior colleagues in respect of periods of leave.To ensure that there are adequate arrangements for hospital staff involved in the care of your patients to be able to contact you when necessary.The post-holder will contribute to the General Surgery service, including elective theatres, clinics, on call duties.About usThe Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is one of the largest acute and community Trusts in the West Midlands providing a comprehensive range of services for the people of Wolverhampton, the wider Black Country, Staffordshire, North Worcestershire and Shropshire.
