They use flexible resourcing and time-saving technology to deliver a high-quality, cost-effective service for a range of large scale projects.
Our dedicated Paralegal Team are now on the lookout for a Litigation Paralegal to jointhem.
What will you be doing?
Our Recovery+ (defended) team provides a comprehensive dispute resolution service to well-known retailers, online selling platforms, utilities suppliers, goods suppliers and installers and telecommunications companies.
Your role will see you handling your own case load (with supervision and guidance provided by experienced litigators) defending small claims track, fast track, intermediate track and multi-track claims. The types of disputes you will work on will vary from broker commission claims to consumer claims and general commercial disputes such as breach of contract, overcharging and data breaches. And much more!
You will carry out a broad range of duties, which may vary from time to time, and could include:
Pre-action communications
Acknowledgments of Service
Defences
Telephone mediation appointments
Negotiating and settling claims
Witness Statements
Drafting Set aside, strike out and summary judgment applications
Instructions to counsel
Consent Orders and Tomlin Orders
Hearing Bundles
Statements of costs
Defending injunction applications
Defending and pursuing appeals
Pursuing and enforcing costs order
So what are we looking for?
To be successful in this role you'll need as a minimum:
Completed your law degree or other legal qualification and/or have previously worked as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant or similar.
Experience managing multiple workloads simultaneously.
Experience managing your own caseload, using case/client management system.
