Linux Systems Administrator

Robert Half Technology are assisting a global market leading financial services organisation to recruit a Linux Systems Administrator on a 24 month FTC paying £70,000 - £80,000 - hybrid working (London based).
Role
The Linux Systems Administrator will be responsible for installation, configuration, and administration of AIX/Redhat Linux and Oracle infrastructure
Implementation of Oracle platforms e.g Flexcube
Daily maintenance and support ensuring maximum availability through best practices
Recommendations for improving the Oracle Flexcube and AIX/Redhat Linux farm usage/architecture
Ensure that Linux/Oracle hardware, operating systems and upgrade related procedures are up to date
Troubleshoot and diagnose Linux and Oracle related problems
Profile
The Linux Systems Administrator will have 3 years + experience in AIX/Redhat Linux and Oracle
Should have sound knowledge in SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, Linux scripting
Should have Linux administration knowledge
Should have knowledge in Oracle RAC implementation and administration
Should understand Data Warehouse concepts (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL)
Should understand Microsoft SQL Server
Knowledge of FLEXCUBE core banking suite products in Oracle OBDX internet bankin g, Oracle ERP (EBS), Oracle ODI, Oracle OBIEE, Oracle FCCM
Knowledge of Kerberos on Linux
Knowledge in software process, estimation and quality standards
